2 tips to remember when ordering food-themed Christmas crackers for your corporate Christmas party

If you'll be stocking up on dozens of wholesale Christmas crackers for your corporate Christmas party, and these crackers are going to be full of edible gifts, you may find these tips helpful.

1. Make sure that there's an area in which you can safely store the crackers

When organising big corporate Christmas bashes, most people who need a lot of food-themed Christmas crackers for their events will use the services of food suppliers that stock edible festive goods at wholesale prices, as this is the quickest and most financially-savvy way to order so many of these items. If you're going to do this, then you must ensure that you are prepared for the delivery of a copious amount of Christmas crackers.

More specifically, it is important for you to ensure that you have the space required to store the crackers safely in the days that precede the party. This is not as easy as it might sound, as dozens of boxes of Christmas crackers will take up a lot of room. You might, for example, need to empty out a large storage cupboard or designate a room on the premises that is not currently in use as a storage area for these items.

It is important to do this for the following reasons:

  • If the crackers are housing any liquid-filled glass containers (like a pocket-sized bottle of gingerbread-flavoured liqueur, for example) and you put a pile of these crackers in a busy area of your premises, they will probably be knocked over by someone and these glass bottles will break.
  • If you try to stuff the crackers into an overly small cupboard, this might cause the pretty wrapping paper on them to end up crumpled or torn, which might then spoil their appearance.

If your poor choice of storage ruins the crackers and the food supplier you bought them from runs of stock by the time you try to replace them, you might end up either having no crackers at the party or having to use lower-quality ones purchased at the last minute from a local shop.

Take the food you plan to provide at the party into consideration when picking out edible items for the crackers

If the food supplier has agreed to fill the Christmas crackers with edible items of your choosing, then you must take the type of food that you'll be providing at the party into consideration when selecting these items. For instance, if you'll be arranging a three-course dinner, then you might want to put after-dinner mints and some festive liqueur into the crackers, as the guests probably won't want anything too filling after eating this type of large meal.

Conversely, if the food you're buying for the party consists mostly of snacks, such as cheese, olives, crackers and fruit, then the guests might appreciate some stodgier and more filling items in their cracker, like small Christmas puddings, rich chocolates and gingerbread biscuits.
